Baylor is my energetic 6-year-old son who faces the daily challenges of Type 1 diabetes and other medical issues. Despite everything, he is full of life and never lets anything slow him down. Baylor has a huge love for dogs—he can’t help but reach out to pet one whenever he sees them. Unfortunately, he is very allergic to most animals, which has made it difficult for him to have the comfort and companionship that a dog can bring. The one exception is poodles, a breed he can be around without any allergic reaction.
We are raising funds to get Baylor a trained service poodle. These incredible dogs are specially trained to sense and alert to diabetic emergencies, which could be life-saving for Baylor. Having a service dog would not only provide him with a loyal friend but also give us peace of mind, knowing that someone is always there to help keep him safe. This opportunity would mean the world to our family and help Baylor live his life to the fullest.
We are so grateful for any support you can offer, whether it’s through a donation or by sharing our story. Your kindness will help us give Baylor the chance to have a service dog by his side and raise awareness about childhood diabetes and the amazing support animals that help kids like him every day. Thank you for being part of our journey!
