This is Avery! She has Arthrogryposis, more specifically Amyoplasia. This means lack of muscle development and muscle contractures. Avery is affected shoulders down and hips down. She has had over 15 surgeries and more that 20 procedures. Even with all of this Avery is a very happy kid. She loves life and is thriving. She brings a smile to everyone she meets. There are so many things out there that Avery could benefit from that are not covered by insurance. There are feeders, toys, her service dog, a hot tub for water therapy and many other things. These are things we pay for out of pocket. We are a family of 7 (5 kiddos total) and do everything we can to give Avery everything that could benefit her.
