Although we haven't reached our goal (yet) we plan to film episodes 5-7 this summer and release all three episodes before the end of the year!
"Server Life" is an online TV series that looks at the lives of several restaurant workers at a bar in Austin, Texas. The dramedy is punctuated by fantasy sequences where we see what servers really want to say and do to their customers.
We worked with a shoestring budget and called in a lot of favors to make the Pilot and Episode 2 guerilla-style. But in order to make Episode 3, we will need the support of our audience.
While the first two episodes depict slower shifts, Episode 3 takes place on a wild, hectic, insanely busy night because the Smokehouse is promoting $5 burgers. Every employee works, the ticket printer overflows, and farcical chaos ensues, disrupting the world of the restaurant.
We've set our goal at $4,500, which includes the cost of location, camera, sound, lighting, crew, craft, and post-production (sound, color, editing).
However, we don't want to stop there. We have an outline for a 12-episode season. So if we surpass our goal, we can immediately begin pre-production on Episode 4.
