Hey Everyone! You all know that I volunteer for Veterans organizations and that my heart is in helping Veterans and their families… it’s just what we do!!! Well this is something personal. I have a dear friend of mine who lost her husband (a disabled Veteran), this last year to cancer. She had to closed her business to take care of him when he was sick- however she did not know the extent of his prognosis because he tried to shield her from the pain. She didnt know it was as bad as it was until close to his death because of this. She had already closed her business, to take care of him. Now that he is gone, and unfortunately she is not eligible for survivors benefits, she is stuck. She has had so many issues with her own health and her back that working just can’t happen right now. She has done what she can to get any assistance she can- but it is not enough. She was just told that if she doesn’t replace her roof that the homeowners insurance will drop her, and she already has debt from her business and other bills they were able to pay with his disability but now that it’s gone- she is stuck with everything and can’t work.

I am asking for everyone to dig deep, please help me-help her. You know I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t needed, and I have helped her to go through her bills, etc and there just isn’t enough. She just keeps getting hit with more bad news with the roof issue now- and I know we can all pull together for her!
