On Saturday June 22nd 2019 early morning my aunt Tanya Smyk received a phone call that would forever change her life. Her husband Serhiy could not be located.
The previous night after work a few of his friends and him went on a fishing trip over night which ended tragically. After an on going search with the rescue team,
all evidence state that he got separated away from his friends and is believed to have accidentally fell into the Niagara River. The area he was in, is very well
known for these types of accidents.
People have lost their lives in the dangerous rapids at the Whirlpool Park.
It has been 6 days since and we are desperately waiting for answers. They are predicting that his body maybe recovered by the end of this week.
Serhiy leaves behind his wife Tanya and 5 beautiful young children.
Daryna, 13, Mariya 13, Daniel 11, Melania 4, and Liana 2.
Serhiy was a loving father and husband who worked hard for his family. He was the one his family relied on the most. His family was always most important to him.
Tanya is currently unemployed and with bills quickly adding up, as well as upcoming funeral arrangements. We ask that you please keep our entire family in your prayers and if it is in your heart to donate it is greatly appreciated.
At this point we are waiting for his body to be recovered so that we can proceed with the funeral plans.
