Serguey Diaz Family

For all of us who have had the opportunity to know Serguey, Legna, and Sergio Diaz, you’ve experienced the light that this family brings to the lives of others.

Sadly, Serguey, 49, passed away on Sept.29, 2023, three weeks after suffering a massive brain aneurism.

Serguey’s easy-going nature, quiet wit, and love of knowledge will be remembered. His kindness, love of life and generosity extended to his final moments when he donated his organs to others with chronic, life-threatening illnesses. He was a role model, especially in his incredible fight to immigrate to the United States to create a better life for his family.

Legna, to know her is to love her — because she loved you first. Her warmth, compassion, joy, generosity, infectious laugh, and genuine care and concern for others are unending.

Sergio is the best parts of his parents! He is a great young man, with a contagious laugh, quick wit, humble nature and gifted intellect. He is poised to do amazing things.

None of us can imagine the devastating blow Serguey’s loss is to Legna, Sergio and his entire family. They have felt the outpouring of love and prayers across the miles and are forever grateful.

We’ve set this up to allow those who have been asking, “How can I help?” the opportunity to donate to cover the many unexpected expenses associated with Serguey’s passing.

While these funds will not dull the Diaz family’s grief and pain, we can alleviate some of the worries they might encounter. Thank you so much for your ongoing kindness, love and support, now and in the coming months and years.
