You came into our lives at age four. You were a joy to our whole family – the only boy among five girls – Janelle, Tiffany, Emily, Claudia, and Bethany. You followed Chris when he mowed the lawn. You reluctantly played the groom whenever our girls walked down their imaginative wedding isle. You sat on the piano and sang, “Father Abraham had many sons…”
As a young man you came to visit us in Europe, and helped us hand out 5,000 Turkish New Testaments in the city of Berlin. Over the years we have watched with amazement as you developed into a man of strength and compassion, especially for the mistreated and vulnerable. You held on to your faith in God, even when life brought you many tears and difficulties. We're so proud of you, Sergio. We know that the gates of heaven have opened wide to receive you.
The funds will be used for the following estimated expenses:
$ 450 flowers
$ 650 luncheon
$ 120 program printing costs
$ 120 audio visual / livestream staff
$1,340 total
Any funds received beyond this amount will be donated to We Lift LA (weliftla.org). We Lift LA is a non-profit providing mentoring and housing for foster youth, the very population that Sergio served as a residential counselor.
Dawn Garcia will serve as the financial trustee. Thank you for your gift of support. Sergio's memorial service will be on Sunday, March 28, at 1:00 pm, at
