Sergeant Michael S. Fuller NYPD Fund
My name is Jesse Fuller and I am regretfully having to reach out via gofundme in order to help raise money due to my father's imminent passing due to Pancreatic Cancer.
About my father and his situation:
My father (Michael St. Christopher Fuller) was born on the island of Jamaica and immigrated to the United States with the dream of becoming a police officer. Fast forward to 1994, he had achieved that dream by joining the NYPD despite being in his 30's and having to fight racial discrimination to join the force.
Fast forward to 9/11/01- my father was a first responder with the NYPD. He worked heroically and tirelessly to save lives and search for survivors while exposing himself to the invisible chemical dangers from the debris pile.
Fast forward to 12/31/19 - my father was diagnosed with late stage Pancreatic Cancer due to his service on 9/11/01 and continued to fight the cancer for nearly two years.
Where are we now?
My father unfortunately was unable to beat his Pancreatic Cancer despite his best efforts and being part of multiple experimental trials and will be entering hospice care. He will leave behind two adult children, a loving spouse, and countless family members. Although his body has been broken, he has tried to remain strong at heart and spirit throughout the process yet he carries one regret...he wishes that he were able to help the family with the expenses left behind.

The proceeds will go towards the following: travel expenses, funeral costs, debts left behind, and a donation towards the Tunnel to Towers foundation which assists first responders and gold star families in need.
My father's memory will be a blessing to this world but his legacy will be that of a hero who answered the call. A man who selflessly gave everything he had for others. A man who had always been passionate about making his community safe...thank you Sergeant Fuller for your years of service and for making the ultimate sacrifice so that others may live safer lives.
