Serena's Mission in Cambodia
I am travelling on the 18th October to assist with a Mission Rabies campaign in Cambodia, with the target of vaccinating at least 70% of the local dog population. Not only will we be vaccinating stray and owned dogs, but we'll be supporting injured or ill dogs to assisting charities to get them the best help.
This charity is very important. I think living in the UK it is very easy to forget how dangerous Rabies is. We see stray dogs and we don't fear them. Other countries aren't so fortunate and need our help to support their people and animals.
59,000 people die from rabies every year - most of them children. Mission Rabies is working in rabies hotspots to achieve the global goal of freedom from dog-bite transmitted human rabies deaths by 2030.
Please donate if you can! It will be hugely appreciated and I'm looking forward to helping making a difference in Cambodia.
