Serena Siow's medical recovery

Serena Siow, a close filmmaking industry friend, has just been diagnosed with Stage 3 lower gastrointestinal cancer.

Just before embarking on a large TV production, a trip to the Emergency Room escalated into an immediate major surgery to remove cancerous tissue. The daunting path ahead entails stepping back from work and social life for the rest of the year to recover from the initial surgery and undergo intensive chemotherapy treatments.

While some medical costs are covered, the harsh reality is that essential expenses such as paying rent, travelling to appointments and basic living expenses remain uncatered for.

As someone who has both a professional working relationship and a personal friendship with Serena, I understand the gravity of losing work as I’m sure many of you can relate to. Your generosity is appreciated as Serena continues their journey to recovery.
