Friends, family, everyone,
My name is Lana and I am setting up this fundraiser for one of my best friend's, Lilly, whose family is currently shattered over the sudden and tragic loss of their beautiful daughter and sister.
On Friday April 5th, Serena was involved in a terrible car accident. She was taken to a top trauma hospital where she was given every bit of care that was possible to help her pull through. Unfortunately her injuries were too severe and she was granted her angel wings at 24 years old.
This was unexpected, devastating, and heartbreaking. She is gone far too soon. As her family mourns and learns how to heal without her beautiful soul, reality is that there are a lot of financial stresses that accompany this loss.
A note from her mama Lilly:
I didn’t realize how much like me she was until it was too late. She cared deeply for everyone in her life and would fight to make sure they were safe and felt loved. She loved music and even though she was dealing with a major back issue, she moshed her heart out at every concert no matter the pain she knew she’d have to deal with the next day. Art was her other passion. The drew how she felt and it shows in every peace. She was always unapologetically herself. From every sadness to every happiness, she expressed it all and was never afraid for people to know it. This world did not deserve her. She was precious in every way possible and will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Serena was a beautiful girl with a whole life ahead of her. She was and always will be irreplaceable. Even though she is gone from our world, it brings great peace in knowing that her organs will live on and save the lives of others.
In the midst of our heartbreak, we are reaching out for support during this time. Any contribution, big or small, will be so incredibly appreciated. Even just sharing this link and sending prayers/good thoughts would mean the world.
On behalf of Serena's family, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
