Sequoia National Park support
Tax deductible
Supporting our national parks is all about the American people who get to enjoy them...today and forever. The Sequoia Natural History Association is all about the people who educate the public (and future stewards) of these lands.
We are calling 2015 "A year to celebrate". It is our organization's 75th birthday and other important anniversaries include creation of Sequoia National Park 125th and creation of Kings Canyon National Park 75th.
The Sequoia Natural History Association is a big part of what happens in these parks and we rely on you to help us grow and succeed. Next year we face some tight finances...in fact a $100,000 shortfall.
We operate Crystal Cave educational tours, the Sequoia Field Institute (education programs, outreach to schools, living history, seminars, and much more), publish books and maps, Pear Lake Backcountry Ski Hut, 75% of the parks' visitor center staffing, provide funds for programs, projects and research, and so much more.
How we hope to use your donations:
1. Ensure full summer operation of visitor centers
2. Expand free programs for park visitors
3. Crystal cave tours
4. Begin planning for 2016 - the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service
5. Celebration events in 2015 including our second annual Dark Sky Festival
6. Bring more eduction programs to the town of Three Rivers
7. Publish a book on the American Indians of Sequoia and plan for other new publications
Please help our dedicated staff meet this goal. Thank you!
