HI! WELCOME! THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!

SEPULVEDA STORY is a nostalgic love story set in the 2010 San Fernando Valley, created by four scrappy, hopelessly romantic valley kids.

We started this project with one question: Where have all the epic romance films gone? We want to SWOON. We want to PINE. We want to YEARN. So, we assembled an Avengers-style team—bringing together over 30 years of combined experience as artists—to create our own romance, VALLEY STYLE.

WHAT’S THE STORY WITH SEPULVEDA STORY?
Jade and Samson are two very different 16-year-olds from very different backgrounds joined by an invisible string…the longest street in Los Angeles: Sepulveda Boulevard.
On Christmas Eve in 2010, misfit JADE is caught shoplifting with her wild card mother, RONNIE.
SAMSON, a sheltered loner with a bright future, is at the same store escaping the constant hovering of his own mother, SHIRA.
When Samson sees Jade in trouble, he helps her escape from the cops. With Jade’s only family, her mother, now in jail, and with tensions on the rise in Samson’s home life, they discover a mutual understanding in each other that feels bigger than them both. Jade and Samson hole up at Jade’s house, and they spend the holiday season falling in love hard and fast. They learn how to survive on their own; how to pay bills, how to have sex, and how to outrun drug dealers. But their world comes crumbling down on New Year’s Day, when social services comes to send Jade to live with relatives across the country.

We flash forward to Christmas Eve 15 years later, present day, while a fortuitous encounter reunites Jade and Samson…

THE TEAM
ISABELLA ISRAEL
DIRECTOR/WRITER
Bella is a published author, actress, and filmmaker. She had a prominent supporting role in the short film BITS which premiered at SXSW in 2024. As a writer, she has published two collections of short stories, Valley Boys, about her romantic exploits and misgivings, and We Were Dolphins Together, which centers on growing up in the San Fernando Valley, and is currently distributed by Barnes and Noble. She is currently in post production on a 6 part episodic series, CURVEBALL, which she wrote, directed, and stars in. She loves a lot of things, but she loves love the most.

LILLIANA VILLINES
DIRECTOR
Lilliana Villines is a musician, film composer, and music video director from Van Nuys, California.
She started taking music lessons in middle school and went on to study songwriting at Berklee College of Music, where she also minored in English. After Berklee, she studied short fiction with the author Ben Loory through the UCLA Extension program and went on to attend his private short fiction workshops.
Lilliana’s music career has always focused on multi-medium exploration through concept albums that tie music video narratives to lyrics, art, and short stories.
Her work often depicts aspects of life in Los Angeles, namely the San Fernando Valley where she grew up. Her debut solo album The Mids is a horror fiction album about the eeriness of suburban isolationism in LA and its stark contrast to lush and colorful elements of the city.

GALEN WALLACE
PRODUCER
Galen is a producer, Location Manager and Scout, working primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Previous credits include Location Manager for Elena Oxman's 2025 queer family drama ‘Outerlands', and Assistant Location Manager of Michel Clement Franco's 2025 coming-to-America drama ‘Dreams’. Galen grew up in the San Fernando Valley, and he has a deep sense of setting in storytelling. The Valley exists within him like a vestigial organ, an anchor to the bestial roots of youth.

ELI GOSS
ART DIRECTOR/COMPOSER
Eli Goss, from Sherman Oaks, Ca. has been a composer and producer for over a decade. As the son of actor/director Fred Goss, and LA Casting Director Arlene Schuster-Goss of ASG Casting, his upbringing was full of creative storytelling and theatrical sensibilities. At the age of twelve, Eli Goss and Galen Wallace became close friends over shared interest in music, art, and film and honed their crafts together as their main pastime amongst traveling the sprawl of the the SFV on foot. This instilled a passion for collaboration and living for the imagination. Always a fan of the sentimental, romantic, comical, inventive, and surreal in all mediums, Eli has dedicated his life to the unsayable feelings that come from mixing all of them together.

The 4 of us met by fate, joined by our love of art and the valley, so we couldn’t feel luckier to be making a movie about fate together, set in the place where we all grew up. This movie is a love letter to our inner teenagers, to the valley, and to all the professional yearners who transport back in time when they smell wet concrete or hear a song they used to love.

Thank you so much, we are so grateful. We love you forever!
