Sep Regencia for Ms. CONBUSAC 2017
Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Sep-Adrein Regencia and I will be representing the areas of New York and New Jersey for the upcoming Ms. CONBUSAC 2017 that will be hosted in Toronto, Canada from July 7-9. CONBUSAC stands for the Confederation of Boholanos USA/Canada, an umbrella organization for different member Boholano Organizations in North America. For this event, I will be participating in a charity fundraiser lead by the Sandugo USA Family Club and the Bohol Circle of Eastern USA, which will help raise money for the less fortunate people of Bohol.
If you have never heard about Bohol, it is one of the many beautiful provinces located in the Philippines. It is a small island located in the Visayas region and is surrounded by turquoise waters teeming with all kinds of aquatic life. It is home to various natural wonders, such as the "Chocolate Hills." On its land are the warm and welcoming Boholanos, who are always greeting their visitors with a smile. An island filled with humble and kind people, it was the place where my mother, Adele Honculada Refamonte, was born and raised in her earlier years. Although my father, Dennis Pacaña Regencia, was born in Dipolog City, his family roots go all the way back to Bohol as well.
I may have not been born in the Philippines like both of my parents, but I am still proud of my Filipino heritage. If it were not for my parents' hard work and dedication, I would not be here today. The Philippines is a wonderful country; however, it still continues to struggle with the likes of crime and poverty. Being the daughter of two parents that came from the Philippines, I want to give back to our country's people as best as I can. As a representative for the Confederation of Boholanos USA/Canada, I hope to use my role as a means to inspire others to open up their hearts to Filipinos in need.
Your donations will humbly be accepted on behalf of the cause. Thank you.
