Dear Friends,
My name is Rinad Yousef. I am 23 years old, from Gaza. I was married shortly before the war—before my life collapsed into fear, hunger, and rubble.
I once dreamed of a warm home, of raising children, of building a future with my husband. Today, those dreams are gone. My husband is trapped in the occupied territories, while I remain here under constant bombardment. We have been separated for three years. I do not know if I will ever see him again.
I studied civil engineering and worked hard to complete my degree. My dream was to help rebuild my country. But I cannot even collect my graduation certificate, as I cannot pay the remaining university fees. My future, like my life, is frozen.
Every day I struggle not only for myself but for my family—my parents, my older brother, and my nine-year-old little brother who asks me each night, “Will we wake up tomorrow?” I have no answer that can calm him.
I have lived through airstrikes. I have seen my home crack above me. I have watched relatives and friends pulled out lifeless from the ruins. I carry those losses in my heart, and I cannot bear more.
Now, famine is upon us. There is no food, no clean water, no medicine, no safe place to hide. This war spares no one—child, woman, or man. Each moment could be our last.
All I want is the chance to live. To reunite with my husband. To take my family to safety. To reclaim my certificate, to continue as an engineer, and one day help rebuild what was destroyed.
Please, help me. Even the smallest donation is not just money—it is hope, survival, and a step toward life.
Sincerely,
Rinad Yousef
