Separated by ICE, United by Love — Help Bring Oliver Home
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Lindsee. I’m 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, and I’m writing this with my heart in pieces.
My fiancé, Oliver, is being held in immigration detention — even though he hasn’t hurt anyone, hasn’t been convicted of any crime, and came here to live a better, safer life. We’ve done everything we can, and by the grace of God, a judge just granted him bond.
Now we just need help coming up with the bond money to bring him home.
The amount is $10,000, and it has to be paid in full. I’m doing everything I can — but I just graduated high school, I’m working, and I don’t have that kind of money. I’ve tried to stay strong, but this is bigger than I can handle alone. So I’m asking for help.
I am so close to being with him, again. The one of the last few things standing in the way is the bond and the timeline. He needs the bond money by the end of this week to stay in the US, or he will definitely be deported.
Oliver and I met in school. He was the quiet, kind boy who showed up to every event and gave his best in everything — even while learning English, working hard, and trying to make a life here. We fell in love fast. We supported each other through everything — and this year, we got engaged.
Oliver is the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He’s helped friends learn English. He took care of me emotionally when I had nothing. We were supposed to be looking for apartments and building our future together. Instead, I’m crying at night not knowing if he’s okay. I had to graduate without him standing by my side. I feel like a part of me is missing.
Watching the person I love be taken from me has been harder than anything I’ve ever faced. Oliver is my best friend. My support system. My person.
He’s not a threat. He’s not hiding. He wants to fight his case the right way — and he finally has that chance. But without this bond, he’ll stay locked in a cell even though a judge has already said he can go.
Please, if you’re reading this — I’m asking for anything you can give. $5, $10 — it all adds up. And if you can’t donate, just sharing this means everything. I believe in Oliver. I believe in us. And I believe that people out there still care.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, helping, or sharing. You’re helping bring someone home who truly deserves the chance to build a life with the people he loves.
With love,
Lindsee
