이서완 학생의 미국 대학 기숙사비와 식비 펀드레이징

안녕하세요!

제가 지난 6년 반 동안 지도해온 아끼는 학생 이서완을 위해 펀드레이징을 합니다. 서완 학생은 1살에 부모님인 이문기 황은경 선교사님을 따라 태국에 왔고 태국 동북부의 코랏(나콘랏차사마) 지역에서 성장했습니다. 저와는 2018년부터 매주 태국-미국 간에 화상미팅으로 공부를 했고 이번에 미국 미시간주에 있는 Hope college에 입학하게 되었습니다 (대학 소개 link). 감사하게도 소수의 학생들만이 받는 full scholarship을 받아 학비 전액감면으로 입학했습니다. 다만 미국 대학의 기숙사비와 식비가 생각보다 큰 부담이라 이렇게 장학금 펀드레이징을 하게 되었습니다.

I am raising funds for Seowon Lee, a student I've had the privilege of mentoring for the past six and a half years. Seowon moved to Thailand with his missionary parents when he was just one year old and has grown up there. Since 2018, we've been studying together through weekly video calls between Thailand and the United States. This fall, Seowon will be starting his studies at Hope College in Michigan (college introduction link).

He has been awarded a full scholarship covering his tuition, which is an honor granted to only a few students. However, we need to raise funds to cover his dormitory and meal expenses for his first year.
