Sentinel HS Esports was started by Aaron Santa Cruz, a former University of Montana VALORANT player. Unofficially starting in 2024, the program was mostly participating in VALORANT's premier feature (an in-game tournament system). After a restart in January of 2025, the program officially began. With VALORANT being the main title, and Aaron's experience, the team began practicing for the Montana High School Championship Series (MHSCS).
Facing teams from across Montana, Sentinel High School came out on top, earning themselves first place in the regular season. When the playoff season came around on April 5th-6th, the team had to prove themselves once more. A few mistakes were made, but the team came out strong and ended up securing 3rd place in VALORANT.
Now it's up to the players to continue practicing and expanding the program within Sentinel, and eventually other local high schools in Missoula.
Your donations will help the team upgrade their gear, purchase new computers, purchase supplies, and expand their outreach to new schools and the local community.
