Hi, my name is Andy, and I’m a very proud dad.
I’m fundraising to help my daughter finish something she has poured her heart, time, and savings into — Sensory Snips, a sensory-friendly barber hut designed especially for children and adults with additional needs, anxiety, and sensory sensitivities.
Sensory Snips isn’t just a place for haircuts. It’s a safe, calm space where people who often struggle with traditional barbers or salons can feel comfortable, understood, and respected. My daughter has worked incredibly hard to bring this vision to life, and the hut itself is now fully completed — including the building, lighting, seating, and all the interior décor. She has funded all of this herself.
The only thing standing in the way of opening is the outside area.
The path, garden, and wheelchair access ramp still need work so the space is safe, welcoming, and accessible to everyone. Unfortunately, after investing everything she had into completing the hut, she has now run out of funds and can’t finish this final but vital part on her own.
That’s why I’m asking for a little help.
Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards improving the outdoor area — creating a proper path, tidying and securing the garden, and installing wheelchair access so no one is excluded from using Sensory Snips.
This project means the world to my daughter, and it will mean so much to the families who will finally have a place where haircuts don’t have to be stressful or frightening.
If you’re able to donate or even just share this page, we would be incredibly grateful. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and for supporting Sensory Snips — we’re so close to opening the doors.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Andy
