Sensory Room at Strawberry Hill School!

My name is Gabriella, I am a second year Occupational Therapy student at Sacred Heart University, and I am doing my first Level II Fieldwork at Strawberry Hill K-8 School in Stamford, CT. I plan to transform this room into a sensory room for students who experience difficulties regulating their emotions, focusing in class, have challenges with sensory processing, or just need a brain break during their school day.

My goal is to raise money to buy important sensory items, like liquid sensory tiles, textured mats, a vibrating ball pillow, tap LED lights, stepping stones and more.

I intend to use these sensory items to help children calm their bodies down, and ultimately help them reset and feel ready to learn again!
