Hi my name is Maya and I am fundraising for my dearest friend Geraldine's Mother, Miriam Lias. Geraldine is always there for others, always looking out and going above and beyond for those she loves and her community, something she learned from her mother. My wish is to simply assist in giving back a bit of what they consistently pay forward everyday.

Senora Miriam is a resilient and kind hearted mother of four daughters. Miriam resides in Caracas, Venezuela where the care she requires to survive is too costly. Her daughters are doing their very best to support her but they too need a larger community to support them, to support her.

Miriam is 75 years old, and had been diagnosed for some time with a chronic pulmonary obstruction illness, as well as already managing diabetes and hypertension. This very Christmas her left lung collapsed impeding her very ability to breathe. She now requires contant treatments that include having access to an oxygen concentrator, oxygen, and medicine prescribed by the pulmonologist. The costs add up daily, and Miriam's life is at risk.

The funds you contribute would be sent to Geraldine to purchase the medicine and rent the needed medical tools to ensure her mother can continue living and loving her family and community.

Miriam and her daughters are looking forward to celebrating her 76 birthday this last week of the year, and helping her heal and continue on into this new year with health, support and community.
