My wife Judy and I are struggling to pay back a loan after we lost $20,000 in a farm scam.

We wired the money and waited for the delivery of a backhoe that never came.

We still owe the bank and continue to make payments on a loan for farm equipment we don't have and still need.

This sets us back years to build a house so we can move out of our trailer.

When my son and I drove to the listed business address in Denver we found an empty lot.

The scam's name still on Google is, "Platte Machinery Group" misleading buyers for the legitimate business of a similar name, "Platte Implement Company."

The El Paso County Sheriff says this isn't just a case of fraud but also identity theft to steal the $20,000 they say was immediately transferred out of the country.
