To Persevere! A Senior Yearbook Fundraiser
Donation protected
WE ARE CLOSE! MAKING THE FINAL PUSH! So I hauled out some real gems! Graduation. Prom. Maybe homecoming??? I'm unclear what was happening in that yellow sweat shirt cuffed jean moment.
Like many of you, I survived high school by the skin of my teeth and with the love of a magical group of friends. The seniors I teach have not had that benefit. As the yearbook sponsor, I'm trying to raise enough money to gift the senior class their yearbook. Because let's be honest, this was not a great year to be a high school senior, and I'd just like to let them know... we see them. I teach in a community that has been hit hard by Covid. Money is tight for many of my students. Many are working to help their families make ends meet. For some, the $39.50 a yearbook costs is a lot.
Now, we all know a yearbook can't bring a senior year back. It can't begin to replace all those good times missed, but it can be a recognition that our seniors persevered. And that's the theme of this year's book. The Class of 2021 made it through. Against all odds. The Roses that Grew out of Concrete.
Please consider celebrating this moment with them. Purchase all or part of a yearbook for one of our seniors if you can. Thank you in advance for your generosity. And please do it soon so I don't have to keep these pictures up on Facebook! And so I don't have to keep digging... because the pictures get worse. I was in the drama club.
