Hello! My name is Julian Ramirez and I am a Senior BFA Film and Media Arts student at the University of Tampa. I currently in pre production my senior thesis film, 'EL MOJADO'. Productions begins Fall 2025 and will be shown at Senior Showcase at the University of Tampa in December 2025.

The story is about a young latino immigrant on the run from police and who is forced to take refuge in an office building. Deceit, distrust, and paranoia forms as he comes into a conflict with the office building cleaners, a Latin family who've been Americanized.

I've been in love with making films since high school, and this production would be the culmination of all my years of experience of filmmaking into one singular vision on a subject close to my heart. Especially with everything going on right now to immigrants in this country, I want to tell a story that marks on the way people can turn on others, even when in the end, everyone will be next under the boot.

Funding will go towards to set design, permits, locations, insurance, and food for cast and crew.

Hola! Mi nombre es Julian Ramirez, estoy en mi ultimo semestre de estudio en la Universidad de Tampa. Me estoy preparando para mi thesis que es un cortometraje, 'EL MOJADO'. La producción comenzaría en el otoño de 2025 y se va a presentar en la Universidad de Tampa 'Senior Showcase' en Diciembre de 2025.

La historia sigue a un joven Latino que esta corriendo de inmigración, y este forzado a buscar refugio en un edificio de oficinas. Pero se encuentra con mucho paranoia y conflicto de parte de los limpiadores de los oficina, un familia Latina muy Americanizada.

Yo eh creado películas desde la escuela secundaria, y esta producción sería

la culminación de muchos años trabajando en el arte del cine. Y por la epoca que estamos viviendo, quiero contar una historia que de respeto a los inmigrantes y que muestre que no importa de cual lado estas, no hay como escapar de la persecución

del gobierno.
