Hello from the PtC class of 2027!

Every year, the senior class at LIU is fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to participate in a senior showcase which provides us with the chance to create professional footage, connect with professionals in the industry, send in our materials to agencies, and overall, help set us up for the next step in our career. This incredible experience has helped many of our alumni book jobs and get recognized by agencies which makes this difficult industry a little bit easier.

However, with this high quality experience comes a high price. For one student, Senior Showcase will cost them about $1,000 that they have to pay out of their own pocket. We want to make sure that everyone in our class is able to enjoy this opportunity and get the most out of it without having to worry about the financial aspect. Knowing this information, our class wanted to get a head start on fundraising in hopes of being able to go into senior year feeling prepared. In addition to this page, we will also be doing many other fundraising events on and off campus to try to help all of our students relieve some of the cost.

The more money we are able to raise, the more opportunities we will be able to have. We would be able to film dance videos in addition to our songs and monologues. We would be able to have in person events with working professionals in the industry and perform in front of agents live, increasing our chance for connection.
