Hello all, my name is Francis Jones. I’ve hit a really tough patch, and I’ve done everything I can — now I’m asking for a little extra help.

I recently lost my job, and despite actively applying for new positions, I haven’t been receiving any offers. I want to work and I’m trying my best, but the opportunities just aren’t coming through. To make matters worse, the unemployment office notified me late that I would be losing my benefits — which left me with no income and very little time to prepare.

As a Senior, I’m facing additional barriers. The unemployment system offers little to no support for Seniors who may not be tech-savvy or able to navigate complex online systems. There’s no one to talk to, no clear path forward. It’s deeply frustrating and honestly feels like the system is failing those who need it most. I know I’m not the only one — how many other Seniors are quietly suffering like this? Some of our seniors need a little more guidance than others.

I’m currently applying for rental assistance through multiple programs, but the process takes time and there are no guarantees. I’ve already received as much support as i can from family, and I’m doing everything i can to stretch my resources — but I’m running out of options.

I know times are hard for many right now, but if you’re able to donate — even a small amount — or share this with someone who might be in a position to help, it would mean so much to me.
