Senior in High School Diagnosed With Leukemia
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Danielle and I am creating a fundraiser for our family because I am a single mom, whose son was recently diagnosed with leukemia. He is a senior in high school and this diagnosis has turned our worlds upside down.
We need the extra support because I am currently on a leave of absence, from work, without pay, to care for him during this extremely challenging time for our family. After a 5 week hospital stay, in January/February, he is now home and in need of a lot of care as the chemotherapy has made him extremely weak and exhausted.
We greatly appreciate any and all help, for food, monthly bills, gas to and from the outpatient cancer clinic (where he receives IV chemotherapy many days of the week still), medical bills etc.
This is certainly not the way my son planned on spending his senior year of high school, but he has been SO strong and SO brave throughout this ordeal. He will have to undergo treatment for his cancer, for at least the next two years of his life.
