Senior Dog Sasha Needs Your Help

Sasha, a sweet 11-year-old rescued from a backyard breeder, unexpectedly found herself without a home when her family had to move out of state. As her dog walker, I've taken her in temporarily while searching for her forever family.

To ensure Sasha's comfort and well-being, I'm asking for your support. Funds will cover essential care like food, medication, medicated shampoo for her skin condition and grip mats for the stairs. Additionally, we'll purchase an "adopt me" vest to help find her perfect home.

All funds will go 100% to Sasha's care and I will update this page on what is purchased. Your generosity will make a huge difference in Sasha's life. Thank you for your kindness!

Update #1: in less than 6 hours we surpassed the goal of $500! Someone has donated $200 through another source and that will be added to her fund. If $750 is reached we will purchase her a banfield plan for 1 year that will follow her to her new home which includes comprehensive exams, preventative and maintenance care, unlimited vet visits with the visit fee waived and discounts on medication and products. Any funds left over will be given to her adoptive family in the form of gift cards of their choice (petsmart, chewy or daycare passes).

Update #2: The goal has been modified from $500 to $750 so that we can get Sasha a banfield plan. Also someone has generously donated the grip pads for the stairs so those will not need to be purchased. Thank you all! Let's reach that $750 goal!

Update #3: Almost there! Another $25 came in through another source. Only $37 to go! Her adoption vest has been purchased along with a gate to keep her comfortable and away from her foster siblings while she settles in. Next will be her banfield plan and a wellness check up. I will also be covering any fees accrued on this account. It's 2.9% over all and 30 cents per donation.

Update #4: WE DID IT! Not only did we meet the goal but we passed it by $48! Thank you everyone who donated or shared. Sasha will now get her Banfield plan and get her ear and skin looked at. Plus preventative care and unlimited vet visits for the next year. She will also get her shampoo and ear medication if recommended by a vet. Along with food, treats, pumpkin puree and toys while she's with us.

Update #5: Sasha has her first check up scheduled for this Saturday August 24th. We also purchased her a ramp for the car. Yesterday we went on some fieldtrips and she struggled to get in and out. At 62lbs instead of picking her up we decided the safe option would be a ramp and that will follow her to her next home. We will also begin helping her lose some of her excess weight.

Update #6: Sasha's doing great and settling in, but still needs a furever home. Also I'm happy to announce she's lost 3lbs so we're almost halfway to her goal! Donations have reached just shy of $1,200 through various sources, but her care costs have exceeded this. We've increased our goal to continue covering her medical expenses, including ear infection treatment, skin infection antibiotics, apoquel to curb symptoms, and digestive support so her tummy doesn't get too upset with all the medication.
