Senior dog needs help after COVID death

Hi all. My mom died of COVID and I have inherited her incredibly sweet 14-year-old, black & white Brittany, Angel.  There are so many unsaid consequences to this pandemic and pets losing their owners is one I had not thought of. 

I am currently unemployed (travel agent is not a good job to have during a pandemic) and cannot afford to take care of her the way she deserves with proper vet visits, senior food, and grooming.  I felt I had to find her a new home because I just did not have the funds to take care of her, so I posted a rehoming message on Nextdoor and I was shocked at the response.  My beautiful neighbors began offering financial help so she could stay with the family she knows and loves.

I am so incredibly grateful that after all of the hardships we all have gone through in the last 10 months, people are still willing to give and are ready to help each other.  It makes me realize I am not alone during this unbelievably lonely time.

Thank you all for helping me keep Angel. You have given me the gift of loving her for her final twilight years.
