Hello everyone,
I have a neighbor, Fred, who has been renting his condo since 2011. A really nice elderly man. He’s a Veteran/Air Force. Last week, I noticed a moving van and guys removing items from his house. When I asked him if he was leaving us, he said that he had run out of money forcing him to give his 30 day notice. He’s almost 80 years old. I have only seen him maybe three times in the three years I’ve lived as a neighbor. Of course I asked him where he was moving, and he got a very sad look on his face indicating he wasn’t sure. Most likely he would be staying in his car. It broke my heart. He owes his final month’s rent to his current community and trying to find anything affordable on his little Social Security check has been a challenge. I really don’t want to see this wonderful man living in his car at 80 years old. I have never done this before, but I realized that a little from a few goes a whole lot farther than a little from one. Fred is a wonderful guy with no children or family. Anything you would be willing to contribute would be a HUGE blessing. He only has until April 30th before he is homeless. Thank you in advance for your kindness.
