Senga's Top Surgery

Hello. My name is Senga, I am non-binary (they/them) and am based in Scotland.

As we all know, NHS waiting times for everything, especially trans-healthcare, are extraordinarily, painstakingly long. Moreover, I have faced transphobia at my local GP surgery, so accessing appropriate healthcare for me has proven difficult. Therefore, I am choosing to raise money to fund my top surgery at a private practice.

Having top surgery will be gender-affirming for me, allowing me to live at peace within my body. Currently, I find it hard to look at myself in the body I occupy.

I currently work fulltime as a chef and have no financial support system except this GoFundMe. Thus, I am unable to save the money myself. Its uncomfortable to be in a position where I need to ask for money, and I know that I also don’t have any other option to raise these costs.

I am asking for £11,000. The breakdown is as follows:

Top Surgery with Ioannis Ntanos (Manchester) approximately £8000

Travel and 2 week accommodation £1000

Food and living expenses for 6 weeks off work £2000
