Help Ting get to Carnegie Hall

Dear Friends, Family, and Autism Warriors Everywhere,

Ting has been selected for the 2018  Young Adult Honors Performance Series.  She is going to New York City this February for an amazing opportunity to perform at CARNEGIE HALL!

This is an incredible accomplishment for any performer, let alone a 14 year old with autism whose love of singing has transcended her diagnosis. As her voice teacher Tara Wallace has said, "asking Ting not to sing is like asking her not to breath." Not only is this an amazing opportunity for Ting as a singer, but just as importantly, it is a chance for her to show the world that autism is a label, not a limitation. Ting has an opportunity to represent individuals with autism around the world and show them that they are strong enough to live their dreams.

The Young Adults Honors Performance Series brings together exceptional Young Adult performers from around the world - this year’s Series includes students from all 50 US States, Washington DC, Guam, six provinces of Canada, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, Qatar, South Korea, and the United Kingdom!

Selected students, or Finalists, have the opportunity to study under master conductors, work with other elite musicians, and perform at Carnegie Hall. We spend a total of 5 days together in New York City. Here are some of the exciting activities that are planned:

* Perform in the exclusive Honors Performance at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, February 4, 2018, under the direction of world-renowned conductors
*Work with master conductors and build a performing resume
*Attend a Broadway Show, see famous sites, and experience the excitement of New York City
*Rehearse and interact with Finalists from across the world.

In order to take part in this opportunity, I need to raise $6000.  Please help me by sponsoring a portion of Ting's trip.

While I wish that as her mother I did not have to ask for financial help, the reality is, I can't let my pride get in the way of this amazing opportunity for Ting.  Any contribution you could make would bring Ting that much closer to this once-in-a-lifetime experience.  If you are unable to donate, please feel free to leave an encouraging word for Ting as she nervously embarks on this amazing journey to NYC!

Thank you to everyone that has believed in her, and continues to support her through her opera journey.
