Help Send Me to Optometry School
Hello Everyone!
This is my campaign to raise as much money over the next 3 years as I possibly can to help pay for Optometry School. Any amount you can donate will help me get closer to my goal. If you do decide that you would like to help me reach my goal, I would like to thank you for your contribution!
My Dream: I'm in need of financial help to go back to school to take classes to meet the prerequisites for Optometry School. It is my dream to become an optometrist, but I need your help. I would like to go to Nova Southeastern University - College of Optometry but I will go wherever I have to go to make my dreams come true.
My Brief Story: I graduated from the University of South Florida in December 2012 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Social Science with a 3.34 GPA. I am already facing in excess of $100,000 in undergraduate tuition debt and I feel any additional debt would be crushing. When I started my degree pursuit in 2008, I never really knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. After a year since I graduated from college, like many young people out there, it's been very difficult to find a job in this economy. Luckily, I have amazing parents who have been able to help me survive. However, I am 24 years old and the financial burden is becoming solely my responsibility. This year off has allowed me to discover my dream and for once in a long time, set a goal I am determined to achieve. Please help me invest in my future.
Costs: It is going to cost approximately $10,000-$15,000 to take the required prerequisites at community college and then Optometry School will cost approximately $140,000.
