Francine Sherwoods Medical Expenses

My mother has been inpatient hospitalized 5 times since December. She had 2 pulmonary embolisms, pneumonia,  and has pericardis. She has lost 9 weeks of work so far and is currently in St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson, MS.  The doctors are still not sure what is really wrong with her. They have suspected Familial Mediterranean Fever and Lupus, and possible autoimmume diseases which she may need rheumatology consultation for. She has trouble breathing and is in extreme pain, she can barely walk, and is not able to function at anyway near her normal healthy levels. The doctors have been poking and prodding her. They gave her a spinal tap which revealed nothing and drained 200cc's of fluid from her lungs. They won't give her the right medication.

For those of you who don't know Francine: she is not just my mother, she one of the most selfless people on this earth. She has spent her whole life doing good works. She worked as a social worker for many years. She has been an educator for disabled youth. She is currently an employee of the Jackson, MS. VA where she provides counseling services to veterans who have served our country.

 I (her son) am going to give her everything I can to get through this, but she needs your help too. Between medical bills and lost work, she's not sure how she's going to make it. Please consider helping her in her time of need. It would mean the world to her (and me).
