Attunga Internship
Donation protected
Well hello there, and welcome to my page. If you don’t know me, my name
is Lexi Aggen. I am a sophomore at James Madison University, and my
hobbies include reading and writing, painting, and making marshmallows. I
am an active member of the Intervarsity chapter at JMU and attend
Divine Unity in Harrisonburg while at school, and The Falls Church
Anglican while at home.
Some of you may be wondering at this point “Why am I here?” Well,
I’ll tell you! This summer I applied for an internship at a camp in Australia
called Attunga. It is a highly competitive internship, and my expectations
were low but hopeful as I applied. I went through the application process, and
amazingly was accepted for the Semester 1 internship of 2017. By January, I
will be across the world working at the camp. While there, I will be assisting
in running the camp in everything from cooking, cleaning, leading small
groups, teaching electives, and whatever else the camp needs me to do.
This time will not just be about running a camp however. The four and a half months I will be mentored by leaders from the camp, read through the Bible, and overall fostering of my walk with Christ.
As this is a not-for-credit study abroad I am responsible for raising all the funds myself. The money I am raising will be used for the price of the scholarship, airfare, my international passport, and other fees.
I am crunched for time as I will be going in January, and hope to be funded before attending.
It would mean the world to me if you would help me make my way to Attunga!
