Sending Tilyan back to America

We are fundraising for Tilyan Aslam because she has received a 5 week scholarship to study in America through the Iacocca Global Village for Future Leaders at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.

 

"Iacocca Global Village is an intensive, immersive virtual and in-person program on the campus of Lehigh University that teaches university students and young professionals of all ages entrepreneurship and leadership skills while preparing them to thrive in a global community."

The reason for this fundraising is she is responsible for covering the costs of flights, travel arrangements to and from the airport and food for the five weeks here.

 

Tiylan first came to America 2 years ago through a scholarship from the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Program in which we hosted her as our Exchange Daughter. Through her ambition and passion for success and making a difference, she earned Student of the Month honors amongst hundreds of students, Earned a trip to Washington DC through the Civic Education Program and served 180+ volunteer hours while staying in America. She was also involved in Girls, Inc. in which she also earned a trip to Atlanta to visit various college campuses and businesses (she never got to take that trip due to COVID).

 

To say she is ambitious is an understatement. She dreams of changing the world and the lives of women in her home country of Pakistan. We really feel that this opportunity will be a great asset to help her achieve these dreams.
