Memorial For Armando Zamora ❤️

Armando Zamora, also known as Chyko, recently passed away and went home to be with the Lord. He will be missed by family and many friends.
Chyko was a bright and full of life person; his personality was magnetic and people found themselves attracted to his kindness and his sense of humor. As a young man, Chyko’s dream was to become a barber and started his journey by cutting the hair of friends and family, and soon went on to make his dream a reality by going into barber school and graduating. He went on to build his reputation by cutting Reds’ Bengals’ Cincinnati’s FCC team and other celebrities; as well as winning 9 awards competing for different titles against people from all over the nation. His clientele and support from them became so large he had to start his own barbershop, Uptown Vibes Studio. This quickly became his second home and his clientele became family. With that being said, he didn’t just view his barbershop as a business, but as an opportunity to give back to those who needed it. For the past 2 years, he had done Back-To-School events, asking companies and private donors for school supplies as well as giving free haircuts to children in his community. He also started a Christmas Toy Drive collecting toys and other supplies to give to charities, and during his free time he would give haircuts to the homeless in shelters. He also was in the process of opening up a Children’s Center/Gym for the kids in his neighborhood and teens who came in to talk to him. He wanted it to be a safe place for kids to be themselves.
As you know, he was a great person and we are absolutely devastated by his sudden loss. However, we know his legacy will live on in our hearts.
We will forever be thankful to anyone who is able to help out whether it be words of encouragement, prayers and\or with financial donations. Thank you and God bless you all.
