Support Chad's Road to Recovery

We are reaching out to request donations for Chad Yelenik while he fights and recovers from Lymphoma. We all know Chad as a friend and colleague with an upbeat personality and wicked sense of humour. As a long time resident of Vancouver and a charming shop keeper at the Vancouver Art Gallery store for over 20 years, he doesn’t need much introduction to the community that surrounds him. His fan list is long! He knows how to make someone feel special and unique - whether it’s the way he says “helloooooooo!”, or helps one of his customers find that new heirloom piece of jewelry. As some of you may know, Chad was experiencing pain for the last few months — after many tests, he was diagnosed with Lymphoma. He was quickly admitted to the Vancouver General Hospital and is currently receiving aggressive IV chemo. While it's still very early on and new information continues to come in daily, we know his discovery will be long, and extend into Spring 2021. In addition to the hurdles he currently faces, Chad also has a transplanted kidney, making his immune system that much more fragile.   We’ve started this GoFundMe to help Chad with the costs associated with his recovery. Times are difficult for a lot of us right now, and he needs his family, friends, and fans more than ever. It would mean so much to him and provide him some peace of mind financially.
