I am posting this on behalf of my sister who lost her husband Chris Barnes last night after suffering a cardiac arrest following a kidney transplant. While the hospital and staff are investigating what actually took place during a routine procedure that resulted in the loss of my brother in law, a GoFundMe had been created to assist in laying my brother in law to rest.

 

Chris was a Marine and excellent father and stepfather to my niece Kailey, and an incredible husband to my sister. He loved us as if we were his blood, and we loved him for it. He was hilarious and had an infectious laugh and beautiful spirit about him, and made anyone who had the pleasure of being in his company feel like you had known him for decades.

 

Our hero wants to be cremated and an average funeral with cremation, urn and services in Florida is $5,316.

 

We know that we are all in difficult and uncertain times, and I do not want anyone to feel obligated to make any financial contribution, unless you are absolutely able to, and if you are not even just a few kind words/advice would be appreciated and forwarded to my sister and my brother in law's family.
