Anabela Mazariegos-Sanchez was my everything. Fiercely independent, with a smile like no other. She was very kind, passionate and adored by everyone and everything. She had so many friends, from Fitchburg to Cambridge all the way to Guatemala City.
She raised me, her only child so that when I grew older, I would not need her, and to that I would say, “No, Mom, I will always need you. Nothing can change that,” We didn't have much, but we had each other.
Last week I lost my Mom, my everything. It was sudden and unexpected and I can only think: not now, I still need you, Mom.
I am grateful I was able to spend time with her before her final days and even though this is a dark moment for us she would want us to keep smiling, just like she did through her sickness, trials, and triumphs.
The grief of this loss is often too much to bear, so we ask for your prayers and financial support as we prepare to honor Anabela and put her to rest.
Donations in her memory will be used towards funeral costs and medical expenses. Samantha Harkness will be in charge of final expenses.
