Sending my 6th grade Daughter to Washington D.C.
Donation protected
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read this. My daughter Alice is in sixth grade and has been sponsored by her social studies teacher to join The Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington D.C. (https://www.envisionexperience.com/explore-our-programs/junior-national-young-leaders-conference). Knowing my daughter, I am proud that she has been sponsored after all the hard work she puts into her academia and her ability to play a positive role in her classrooms. Her mother and I are always happy to hear each of her teachers during conferences that Alice would make a fantastic teacher as she is the first to volunteer to help her classmates if they ever need help. I am hoping this experience of going to Washington D.C. provides an inspirational boost to her understanding of how big the world is and how far she can go with all her potential.
The issue, of course, is the lack of expendable income to provide all the opportunities Alice deserves. The final cost is $3000 dollars which include travel, room and board and her seminars for the week-long experience. We believe we can come up with almost half of the cost, which is why this GoFundMe is only $1800.
If you read this and cannot pledge, I still appreciate you considering it. If you can share with other people that might be able to help, that still is helping more than you can know. The deadline is April 16th.
Thank you again!
