My name is Jess and I am a friend of Meghan’s. When I read her heartbreaking post this morning I instantly knew we needed to wrap our arms around her! Her story is tragic and no one should have to endure that pain. Let’s support her and let her know we are thinking of her in this difficult time.

“I hate to even be sharing this, you all know that my babies were my whole world….

I suffered a tragic house fire yesterday and lost my sweet Griswold and Willow.

I used an air fryer for the first time that I just bought. I unplugged it after using it and I left an hour later to go wash the Jeep. I was gone for less than an hour and I came back home to a scene I’ll never forget. My house was full of smoke and I couldn’t see a thing. I made it to the crates and could tell they weren’t moving. So I went outside and busted the windows out of their room to let smoke out. Luckily someone saw me and helped me get in the front door and we carried them outside. We tried cpr until the fire dept arrived but they were unable to be saved. My heart is broken to say the least. I don’t even care that my house is destroyed and most of my belongings are likely not salvageable. I just want my babies back.”
