Sending Love To Rodney

Hello, my name is Ed Pinkard and I am raising money to help a very good friend, classmate, and a lifelong colleague along with his his family with much needed assistance to give him the ability to continue living at home with his love ones. Rodney has a sever case of Multiple Sclerosis and has been confined to a hosptal bed for almost 20 years.

As the years have past, and he and his parents has gotten older, it has become challenging to transport Rodney to doctor and hospital visits. They presently have a full size van equiped with a crane style hoist with leg and waist straps to load and unload him. This method can no longer be used due to his bones have become brittle and the possibility of blood clots. it has been strongly recommended to get a small SUV equiped with rear loding capabilities for a more safer and healthier transport.

Also, after many years of not being able to move, his body has lost some of its ability to remove fluid build up and infection which has him connected to a machine that does that for him. This machine has to run at all times to keep him breathing normally. The danger that is present at this time, is that if there is a power failure of any kind for a considerable amount of time, it will have a severe adverse effect on his condition and be detrimental to his overall health. A auto start generator is needed to prevent any emergency from occuring.
