Hi friends,

Luna has been my constant companion for many years, bringing love, comfort, and joy in ways only she can. She has a special way of making life brighter, and I can’t imagine life without her.

What started as Luna just seeming a little “off” quickly escalated into emergency medical care. She was hospitalized and admitted to the ICU after developing serious complications, and has since had multiple hospital stays and extensive treatment.

While Luna is no longer considered critical, she is not well. She has an esophageal stricture that has made eating extremely difficult, and over the past 24 hours we’ve faced new setbacks, including the loss of her feeding tube. It’s been a very scary stretch, and her condition remains fragile.

We are hopeful, but Luna is facing a long and uncertain recovery that includes frequent follow-up visits, medications, potential future procedures, and lifelong prescription food. We are taking things one day at a time and focusing on her comfort and quality of life.
