Sending Love to Kate

The LCI family was devastated when we learned that our Kate Sikes, aka Free-Range Kate, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. The toughest and kindest human being we know; true to herself every day. Kate is well known for her love of minions, wine, gangsta rap, and world class patient care. Kate’s stubbornness is also legendary; try getting her to lunch... Multiple Myeloma doesn’t want any part of this.
Our team’s concern is that before her diagnosis, Kate’s plate was already full. Most of us would struggle with her responsibilities even without the battle ahead. In her “off” hours, Kate raises her teenage daughter and son with disability. She is continuing to work to support her family. Kate is going to need a transplant and will need a significant amount of time off. Medical bills are already becoming a burden.
Our goal: Enough money to eliminate her out of pocket and provide funds for small quality of life help, such as an occasional housecleaning when she is too fatigued from treatment/work/caring for Joshua. Intending to keep this go fund me ongoing until Kate no longer needs treatment. Periodically, we will repost and keep it active.
No obligation, stress, or pressure to contribute (but would appreciate some social media sharing)! Kate will be the only person to have access to the funds and will receive all proceeds.
