Sending love to Britt and Steve Ahlers

Hi everyone, my name is Cory Gardiner and I am from Rhode Island. I am trying to find a way to help my dear friends Britt and Steve Ahlers. I have been friends with Britt since we met in Kindergarten. This week, hurricane Ian touched down on Florida's gulf coast, destroying so much in its path. Britt and Steve were right in the storm's epicenter in Englewood. Unfortunately, and like so many others, Britt and Steve have lost everything. The roof was ripped off their house, the chimney crumbled down on their cars, and many of their possessions were destroyed. In addition, Steve's boat yard and place of business were decimated. Both Steve and Britt will be immediately impacted, with no source of income for the foreseeable future. We know that insurance and relief efforts will eventually help them rebuild, but for the time being, we are seeking help with immediate and basic necessities like shelter, food and water. We all know that Britt and Steve aren't the types to ask for help, so I am asking for them. All donations will be collected in an account held by myself, which will then be provided directly to Britt and Steve via cash so they can make necessary purchases.
