Anyone that knows Natasha knows her to be a hardworking, sensitive and caring individual. As a wife, mother, sister, daughter, cousin, Ya-Ya , Te-Te and friend…she unapologetically loves everyone. Natasha’s love for others is immeasurable, especially when it comes to the little ones. Her career as a Newborn Care Specialist and Nanny has spanned well over the last two decades and all of her babies have a special place in her heart. While delicately caring for other families after they have welcomed a new life into the world, no one could have guessed the unforeseen challenges that Natasha would face shortly after the New Year celebrations.

 

On January 2, 2022, Natasha attended a routine mammogram appointment and learned news that no one wants to hear. Natasha’s x-rays displayed abnormal images. After additional x-rays, scans and biopsies were completed, the final diagnosis was Breast Cancer. Natasha was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma. Unfortunately, with the cancer being spread throughout the breasts, the only treatment for Natasha would be a bilateral mastectomy. We are thankful for the excellent team of Wellstar Physicians who rapidly diagnosed the breast cancer and we are believing that their aggressive treatment plans will remove all cancer.

 

Natasha’s major surgery, to remove both of her breasts, is scheduled for Wednesday, March 9, 2022. As a result of the extent of Natasha’s case, it has already been determined that a second surgery will be required. Should her post-recovery go as planned, the second procedure will be scheduled between June-July 2022.

 

We are asking for financial assistance because Natasha’s medical insurance will not cover 100% of the medical expenses. Since the beginning of January 2022, Natasha has been required to attend a number of medical appointments and her medical bills have already exceeded $4,000. We understand and realize that the medical debt will continue to grow over the next few months and it is our prayer that donations from others will help to ease the financial burdens that are being faced.

 

All funds raised will directly contribute towards Natasha’s medical appointments, medication, the double mastectomy surgery, the second surgery and all costs that are not covered by her medical insurance. With her not being able to work, contributions will also assist with her living expenses while she recovers. Currently, Natasha’s total recovery time is predicted to be 10-12 weeks.
