Hey everyone! My name is Amy and I am hoping to raise funds to send barrels of essentials to my dear friend Ruby, in Jamaica. ❤️

Hurricane Melissa has devastated her home and community. While I was planning to send her money directly, the heartbreaking reality is that there’s a severe food shortage — she’s been surviving on dried coconut alone.

Our goal is to send three barrels filled with non-perishable food, toiletries, and other basic necessities that we often take for granted here in Canada — but that many families in her community are now living without.

I met Ruby here in Canada when she was visiting her son and daughter-in-law (my cousin). She quickly became like family — a warm, kind, and resilient woman who remains incredibly positive, even through this disaster.
