Greetings.
My name is Arielle Phillips and I am the best friend and Eastern Star sister of Dominique Thibodeaux. I normally have all the right words to say, but today, I just need your help. On Monday, November 9, 2015, Dominique was murdered by her ex-husband. In the years prior to her death, Dominique endured domistic violence, and took all of the neccesary steps to create a safe and healthy environment for herself and her daughter. In the wake of this horrific incident, Dominique leaves behind a beautiful daughter, Audrey, a loving mother, Andrea Thibodeaux, and a brother, Rashard Thibodeaux. Along with these individuals, she leaves behind a nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and a plethora of friends and Eastern Star and Masonic brothers and sisters.
In conjunction with Lamar University Alumni and Dominique's Eastern Star chapter (Rising Star #14), we are raising money to send our beautiful sister and friend home. All proceeds will go to the family of Dominique Thibodeaux and any additional proceeds will be used to start a college fund for Dominique’s daughter, Audrey.
With the permission of the family, we are looking to raise money for Dominiques homegoing service. We are asking that all funds are collected by Monday, November 16, 2015. Anyone who knows Dominique knows that she was a person that would show up no matter what and would always give to those around her, even if it was just time and her presence. If Dominique was someone who ever showed up for you, please take this time to do the same for her. Even if you did not know Dominique, please take this stance against domestic violence and help us send our friend and sister home the way she deserves to be sent.
