Hi! My name is Blair Turner and I am passionate about every man, woman, and child experiencing the goodness of God and the love of Jesus! It is my hearts cry that the invitation of knowing God intimately and personally is extended to ALL people - no matter what walk of life or place of this world you find yourself in.I have an amazing opportunity to put that passion into ACTION and head over to the UK later this fall! In September, a small group of people from my church in Peoria, IL and I will be on a missions trip for two weeks.
While there, we will be visiting four cities in England and Wales. We will be spending our time helping the growth of current churches by serving them, loving them, and reaching out to their surrounding communities. I am so excited about this because a lot of my time there will be spent offering prayer/encouragement to people through street ministry, doing service projects for churches, and children’s ministry! This is going to be an insane two weeks and I am SO pumped for it.
When I felt the tug in my heart to say “Yes, Lord” to this missions trip opportunity, I felt very awakened to the reality that EVERY person needs to be told and taught about Jesus. Not just kids in orphanages in third world countries, or the friends who sit with every Sunday, but EVERY person. The gospel is for all people- including those living in the corporate world and those trapped in day to day, mundane lives filled with hopelessness and shame.
63% of people currently living in the UK claim to believe in Christianity but over 30% of those people are not active church goers. I believe that God wants to revive His church not only in the states and in new church plants in small villages around the world but also in the UK! I believe that God is coming for a generation of people who are no longer going to choose a life of conformity and “going through the motions”, but for one who chooses to thrive instead of survive, one who loves exuberantly and without hesitation and one who lives passionately for the life He’s called us to.
These two weeks in the UK are going to change my own and so many other people’s lives. I’m already praying for my heart to be positioned for the sake of the greatest news ever told, and I’m also praying for people to partner with me to help me get there! I am looking for people to prayerfully consider partnering with me in this adventure either financially or in prayer.
I am looking to raise $2500 for my UK trip! This will first cover the renewal and update of my passport, my plane ticket, my food and housing while I’m there, and any expenses needed while across the pond in the UK!
